We may earn a commission. You still pay the same price.
The Home Backup is an affiliate site. If you click a partner link and later buy, we may get a cut. That is the business model. It does not change the ranking rules on how we review.
Updated August 26, 2026 · thehomebackup.com
Every page that carries a partner link ends with a short disclosure block, sitting above the footer where you can actually read it. This page is the long version. We are not Jackery, BLUETTI, Anker SOLIX, or a generator dealer. Product names are trademarks of their owners. Official product photographs are used to identify SKUs, not to imply an endorsement of this site by those manufacturers.
Which programs we feature
High-ticket ($200+) offers this site is built around:
Those hops currently point at manufacturer homepages. They are placeholders until an approved tracking URL is pasted into src/affiliates.json and netlify.toml. We do not invent live affiliate click IDs. Comparison tables and product cards call those three slugs only. We do not mint a fourth hop for a standby-generator brand we are not contracted to sell.
Cookie windows
Backup-power shoppers research for weeks. Watt-hours, transfer switches, whether the fridge will start. Compare on a Tuesday, buy on a Saturday — a roughly 30-day cookie still attributes that sale, which is why we prefer those programs. EcoFlow is often cited with a 7-day cookie. Poor fit for this niche, so EcoFlow is not a featured partner here. The hardware can still be good. The program is the mismatch.
How rankings relate to money
Featured SKUs are the ones we can photograph from the manufacturer page and describe with dated specs. We do not rank a product higher because the commission is larger. We do skip categories we will not cover (rooftop solar, Tesla Powerwall) and brands we will not feature (short-cookie programs, no-name sub-$200 stations). If two ~2 kWh LiFePO4 stations are in the same job class, we say so and let voltage, weight, and extra-battery maps decide. See Jackery vs BLUETTI vs Anker SOLIX.
What we do not do
We do not hide disclosures behind a footer-only link.
We do not pretend a commission is a “partnership award.”
We do not buy a domain or connect a paid network from this repository.
We do not generate product shots or substitute lifestyle photos for named SKUs.
We do not invent surge watts or open-circuit voltages when the manufacturer page is unclear. Those cells stay blank.
